The Mom
Each year we go on vacation to see Dollywood and have some fun, it just makes sense to earn points while we do it. Sure, I already earn points from my credit card when I book the stay but now I earn points when I make my reservation with the Resort that I already trust. Each summer we spend a week at The Resort at Governors Crossing, our 5 night stay lets us earn enough points that we can come back in the winter and take a little two day getaway and not have to pay at all. That’s the savings that I can see. I just haven’t decided yet if we are going to take the kids back to enjoy the waterpark or if it is just going to be the two of us for a little bit more romantic getaway.
The Retirees
We have been visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park each fall for years, when we finally both retired we knew it was a tradition we wanted to keep up. With a fixed income though we were afraid we would have to sacrifice some of our other trips to the Smokies. My wife has always loved coming to Quiltfest in February and I love the time we spend with our Grandkids in the summer. With all of these trips I knew there had to be someone willing to reward us and that is just what Smoky Mountain Rewards by Smoky Mountain Resorts does. We can come in the Fall and stay at Rodeway Inn/Mountain Skys where we have stayed for the past 20 years and enjoy our pancake breakfast with Wilda before going into the park but that’s not the only place that we can stay and earn points (and even better redeem them!). We can stay at Ramada Inn during Quiltfest, (that’s right the host hotel) and my wife is right there for all her classes but when we bring the grandkids with us we can also stay at All Season Suites where we can enjoy the luxury of home but on vacation. With so many places that we can earn points and redeem them I feel sure that we will be able to travel all the way through retirement, that i the savings that I can see.
The Couple
We went all out for our Honeymoon when we went to the Smoky Mountains. Choosing the Celebration Suite at Country Cascades was just right for our romantic getaway but after all of those wedding expenses we thought it would be years before we vacationed again. Well, because we signed up for Smoky Mountain Rewards when we stayed for our Honeymoon we can combine our points with cash and be able to afford a weekend getaway for our first anniversary.
